Guidelines: A comprehensive dose of the evidence should be prescribed at all times

Suppose that you have the opportunity to help guide a loved one's health care decisions. What might you do? How might you seek the best available evidence regarding treatment?

Martin Bohdal, a trainee under Cochrane Hypertension, presented his answers to these questions at the 2017 Cochrane Canada Symposium. Martin imagined a scenario in which he was determined to guide his parents´blood pressure treatment with help from two resources, the Canadian Hypertension Guidelines and Cochrane Hypertension systematic reviews.
